An electric longboard, or skateboard, is a regular board kitted with new trucks with belts or inwheel-motors that is driven by a controller and powered by a large battery pack.

Setup
The following is my preference and suggestion for an optimal electric board, with good speed and range, and excellent handling properties.
Complete board

- Speed: 20 mph / 32 kph max.
- Ride height: 10 to 12 cm
- Weight: 5 to 7 Kg

- Type: C-type, wheel cutout/exposed
- Material: flexible reinforced bamboo deck
- Deck length: 36 to 38 inches / 91 to 97 centimeters
